Rolex DateJust and Day Date

Among Rolex wristwatches, two of the most popular models are the DateJust and Day Date President. The DateJust is known as the first watch to display the date on the watch dial, which became standard on wristwatches everywhere. Preceding the President by a little over a decade, the DateJust was introduced in 1945, making it one of the oldest of the popular Rolex brand’s today. Coming relatively late in the Rolex repertoire, after the Submariner and GMT-Master, was the DayDate President, first introduced to the public at the Basel Fair in 1956.

The main difference between the two models is that while the DateJust displays the date, the Day Date President has both day and date displays (as the name implies). Both watches show the date in the 3 o’clock position, while in the President the day appears in the 12 o’clock position, spelled out in a number of languages. The DayDate comes in more materials, including stainless steel and two-tone, both of which are very popular. The Day Date is only available in 18k gold (yellow, white or gold). The DateJust is available in these as well as Rolesor, which is steel and gold.

The DateJust is available in both men’s and ladies’ versions, making it a versatile timepiece compared to many of Rolex’s more explicitly masculine-looking models. Unfortunately, for many people, several thousand dollars is simply too much to pay for a wristwatch. Fortuitously, a well-made replica Rolex DateJust can be yours for around a hundred dollars and up, depending on how much you are willing to spend. Available for a broader range of prices, replicas have something to offer everyone. Best of all, you don’t have to sacrifice quality for affordability. A durable, precise replica Rolex DateJust identical to authentic version may be just the watch for you.
